Designed and instructed by studio owner, Kelley, this series is created especially for those who are brand new to Yoga or want to start again with clarity & confidence. Each weekly session builds thoughtfully upon the last, allowing you to practice at a slow and steady pace in the company of fellow beginners.
You’ll explore foundational movements, breathing practices, and simple meditation techniques with other first-timers in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Our shared goals are healing the relationship to the body, soothing anxious thoughts, and navigating modern living with more ease, compassion, and presence.
We’ll begin with restful, floor-based postures and gradually progress toward basic standing and balance poses. You’ll learn how to implement props and customize poses. You’ll be introduced to the philosophical principles of Yoga as a method for cultivating steadiness on & off the mat. You’ll discover how movement affects emotion and how breathing alters mental states, as well as how to nurture these relationships for integrated health and lasting peace. Each session will include time for reflection, integration, and discussion, supporting a deeper understanding of yourself & the practice.
No prior experience, flexibility, or fitness level is required. At its heart, Yoga is a practice of meeting yourself with curiosity and care. By the end of the series you’ll have a strong, grounded foundation for continuing your journey, along with practical tools you can carry into daily life to support your overall well-being.
