This four-week series is a gentle introduction to Yoga, created especially for those who are brand new or who want to start again with clarity & confidence. Each weekly session builds thoughtfully upon the last, allowing you to practice at a slow and steady pace alongside others who are also beginning from the basics together.

You’ll explore foundational movements, breathing practices, and simple meditation techniques with other first-timers, creating a shared experience rooted in encouragement and ease. We’ll begin with restful, floor-based postures and gradually progress toward basic standing and balance poses, always emphasizing mindful movement, choice, and self-compassion rather than “getting it right”. You’ll learn how to implement props and customize poses, fostering a relationship with your body built upon intuition, trust, and acceptance. Along the way, you’ll be introduced to the philosophical principles of Yoga as a method for cultivating steadiness, comfort, and thoughtful presence on & off the mat. You’ll discover how movement affects emotion and how breathing affects mind-states, as well as how to nurture these relationships for integrated health and lasting peace. Each session will include time for reflection, integration, and discussion, supporting a deeper understanding of yourself & the practice.

No prior experience, flexibility, or fitness level is required. At its heart, Yoga is a practice of meeting yourself with curiosity and care. By the end of the series you’ll have a strong, grounded foundation for continuing your journey, along with practical tools you can carry into daily life to support your overall well-being.
